Asbestos removal and Hazardous waste clearance
Before any demolition works can start you will need to establish if there is anything hazardous that needs tackling first to reduce the exposure of operatives and the public. We are happy to assist with the compliance of CDM 2015 regulations by organizing the services of an independent asbestos or soil survey specialist. They will provide a UKAS accredited refurbishment and demolition survey and carry out any necessary sampling in accordance with CAR2012 legislation and hsg264 survey guide. We can then help interpret the results, explain the legal implications and advise on the best way to plan the works to ensure everyone's safety.
We have an established reputation for carrying out asbestos removal works, correctly and efficiently.
If you have petrol, oil or diesel tanks on site their correct removal requires careful management to prevent accidents, explosion or environmental spills. We are experienced in tank isolation, decontamination and removal for all fuel tank, or forecourt projects.
Soft strip interior and exterior
Once all hazardous waste has been removed correctly and the site is decontaminated the soft strip of the site can occur. This means removing items such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows etc. or externally tidying up the site with vegetation clearance, removal of rubbish and debris.
Demolition
Deconstruction is our speciality, this is where we used traditional methods and hand demolition to maximize the recovery of reclaimed building materials. We have experience in taking down traditionally built buildings and then processing the building materials such as stone or brick by cropping or cleaning. This prepares them, ready for reuse on the site if required. We are experienced in asset recovery and maximizing reclamation of building materials. Other site waste is recycled by crushing or is transferred to scrap metal merchants. All waste is handled, processed and transferred correctly.
We can also provide demolition services for agricultural sites; taking down structures that are not compatible with modern machinery or practices. We work on Commercial sites removing structures, machinery and contaminated land. We also regularly work on domestic properties providing partial demolition and clearance for new extensions or buildings. Where being sensitive to domestic life and neighbours is essential. We work on rural sites and urban sites. We are happy to undertake complex sites with multiple buildings and phased work sites to provide a complete service for the customer. We can also partially demolish in order to retain features or facades.
For larger structures or complex multi-structure sites we are able to provide phased work programmed to suit client’s needs. Including shift work patterns, night work and specific works timed to minimise site disruption. We can also provide high reach machinery or use a top down method of demolition.
